In January 2019 Patrizia Burra received the prestigious recognition from "World Photographic CUP" - WPC to be one of the ten best photographers in the world.

I am a painter and photographer. Painting gives a lot of energy, but it doesn't allows you to catch the moment. This is one of the main factor that lead me to the conclusion that I could not be a painter only. My goal, as photographer, is to translate my more wild, passionate and restless vision into an image.

"With photography we try to reproduce the world. But the world is much more interesting when it becomes a work of art".

I think that photography and the images we create, are the realities transformed into dreams. Our life needs imagination, emotions, an inner impulse that leads us to create. I work every day and many hours a day. This is my way of venting, a road that may be open to everything. And it is in that way that I feel free to create. Here wonderful things can happen. Here, in this fantasy world, my creatures come to life by participating in my dreams.

All my artistic life has been influenced by a wonderful poem by T.S.Eliot "The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock".

especially since these phrases

"There will be time, there will be time To prepare a face to meet the faces that you meet";

here is the point:

who is really the person I'm photographing?

what really exists behind his eyes?

"There will be time to murder and create, And time for all the works and days of hands That lift and drop a question on your plate; Time for you and time for me, And time yet for a hundred indecisions, And for a hundred visions and revisions, Before the taking of a toast and tea".

Is there really such a long time? or the time goes too fast for us?

And indeed there will be time To wonder, “Do I dare?” and, “Do I dare?”

"Do I dare Disturb the universe?"

"In a minute there is time For decisions and revisions which a minute will reverse".

Yes you should dare. You must disturb the universe...
